Welcome to Suffangus Farm LLC

Suffangus Farm LLC is a Virginia Century Farm run by the 4th and 5th generations of the Swortzel family. We raise purebred Suffolk sheep and Angus cattle and strive to provide high quality proteins to local customers and the market as a whole.

We have always been concerned with doing the most we can with the land we have available, while at the same time doing the best to preserve and improve our resources. As a family farm, our ultimate goal is to be productive, efficient, and able to pass this land on to the next generation.

Angus Cattle

Decades of genetic selection for superior maternal traits, calving ease, and exceptional carcass quality. Pasture raised and grain finished to Choice grade or higher.

Suffolk Sheep

Moderate framed, heavy muscled, fast growing purebred Suffolks. Focused on 'practical performance' sheep that thrive in our region of the country.

Intensive Grazing

Since 2020 we have managed intensive rotational grazing with moves every 1–3 days — building soil, reducing hay costs, and keeping cattle in great condition year round.
